
Le Dong Hai Nguyen
(SFS’23, MSFS’24)
L. D. Hai Nguyen is a graduate student at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He is pursuing the MSFS in Global Business & Finance and the Honors Program in International Business Diplomacy, having graduated summa cum laude from the BSFS in International Economics.
Hai is a Centennial Fellow working under MSFS Deputy Director Dr. Ashley Lenihan, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Georgetown Graduate Consulting Club and the communicator for the SFS Committee on China. He is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the university’s oldest honor society, and has previously served in the Honor Council and the Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program.
Born and raised in Vietnam, he is interested in Asia-Pacific economics and geopolitics and hopes to pursue a career that involves strengthening sustainable economic ties and business diplomacy in the region. Hai is the founding chair of the Global Association of Economics Education and was the first person under 18 years of age to be elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. His research and insights have been published in the Asia Times, The Diplomat, The National Interest, Newsweek and USA Today.
